GST invoices for freelancers, done right

OpsyOS makes tax invoices the way Indian freelancers and small studios need them: your GSTIN and your client's on the page, SAC codes on each line, the right tax split for where your client is, and numbers that never skip within a financial year.

How does OpsyOS pick CGST and SGST or IGST?

From your client's state and country. A client in your state gets CGST and SGST, a client in another state gets IGST, and a client abroad gets export under LUT. You can change the treatment on an invoice, and the tax lines are always worked out on the server from the quantity and rate, never typed by hand.

What does a GST invoice from OpsyOS show?

The title "Tax invoice", your business details and GSTIN, your client's name (or business name), address and GSTIN, a SAC code column, each tax line, and the note your treatment needs (such as supply under LUT). The same details carry to the print page, the PDF, the email and the pay link.

How are GST invoices numbered?

Gapless per financial year. Numbers are taken in the database when you issue an invoice, so two invoices never share one and none are skipped. In India the series runs April to March, like 2026-27, and you can change the starting month.

How do I correct an issued GST invoice?

With a credit note or a debit note, each with its own number and its own print page, and the tax split in the invoice's ratio. A wrong payment is voided with a reason and keeps its number. Nothing numbered is quietly edited.

Can I use OpsyOS if I'm not registered for GST?

Yes. Leave GST off and invoices carry no tax, the way most freelancers start. Turn it on in Settings › Advanced when you register. OpsyOS formats invoices; it isn't tax advice.
